Narragansett Bay Sea Kayak guides sea kayak tours of Narragansett Bay and the South County coast, paddling around the islands and through the salt ponds of Block Island Sound. Routes work Wickford Cove and the protected lee of Conanicut Island, the north end of Jamestown around Dutch Island, and the chain of coastal salt ponds — Point Judith Pond, Potter Pond, Ninigret, Quonochontaug, and Winnapaug — that sit behind Rhode Island's southern barrier beaches. Tours regularly encounter ospreys nesting on bay channel markers, harbor seals hauled out on the rocks of Rome Point and Dutch Island in winter, and the brackish saltmarsh ecology that makes the South County ponds a National Estuarine Research Reserve site at Ninigret.
