Point Judith Sportfishing Charters runs offshore fishing charters from the Port of Galilee in Narragansett, one of the most active commercial and charter ports on the New England coast. Trips target striped bass on the bay rips and along the Block Island shoreline, bluefish on the surface in summer, fluke (summer flounder) on the bay and nearshore reefs, sea bass and scup on the inshore wrecks, and bluefin tuna and shark on full-day offshore runs to the Mud Hole and the canyons. Point Judith sits at the southwest entrance to Narragansett Bay, between the Block Island Sound and Rhode Island Sound, and the convergence of cold Labrador-influenced and warm Gulf Stream-influenced water creates a productive seasonal fishery from May through November. The fleet runs from the State Pier in Galilee with a mix of half-day, full-day, and overnight tuna trips.
