Rock Climbing in West Virginia

They call West Virginia the Mountain State, and the Appalachians make sure the name earns its keep: deep river gorges, unbroken forest, and rock walls that draw climbers from across the East. The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve is the headline act, big whitewater on the New River below sandstone cliffs stacked with climbing routes.
