A nonprofit organized on November 1, 1930 in Dahlonega, Georgia, responsible for the management and maintenance of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia in cooperation with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and the U.S. Forest Service. It has over 900 members who volunteer for trail work, guided hikes, and stewardship of the AT's southern terminus region.
