  This was my first ever horseback riding experience, and honestly I was a little nervous because I had no experience at all. But Andy's Trail Rides made it such a fun and comfortable experience. The horses are very well trained and calm, so even as a beginner I felt safe during the whole ride. Special thanks to Allie, our guide. She was amazing! She was very friendly, patient, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. The horses listen to her so well, and when we got to do the faster ride, it was so much fun. She explained everything clearly before we started and made sure everyone in our group was comfortable. We were a group of three, and all of us had a great time. The trail itself was beautiful. I went during the first week of August, and everything was so green. We even got to see some wildlife. We spotted white-tailed deer, and they also told us there are elk, mule deer and wild turkeys in the area. The views throughout the ride were really nice. The prices are also very reasonable, and they have a lot of horses. Overall, it was an awesome first horseback riding experience, and I would definitely recommend Andy's Trail Rides to anyone, especially if you've never ridden a horse before. Thanks for making my first ride such a memorable one!

  Nicole was amazing! We had 2 groups of riders (4 in the first group, 5 in the 2nd) because we were traveling with a toddler who couldn't ride so this allowed us to pass off our toddler between groups. Andy and his staff were really accommodating to our situation so we all could enjoy the beauty, fun and spiritual therapy of riding a horse through the hills. We had someone in our group that had never ridden, we also had a 71 year old that hadn't been on a horse in maybe 30-40 years, then our kids who's ages are 11-23 and myself who is a tad bit more experienced. Nicole made sure everyone was comfortable and felt secure and safe the whole time while also asking if we wanted to try trotting or galloping, assuring us that we could stop at anytime. She was also very informative and fun to spend time with. It was so fun and was, by far, the one activity that everyone enjoyed the most. We only come to South Dakota about every 4-5 years but I will definitely be looking to book with Andy and his staff every time we're here. Previously we rode with the stables at Palmer Gulch and it wasn't as personable and tailored to individuals as Andy's. Trust me when I say this is the place you want to go!

  We had the absolute best time! Andy was the best and so knowledgeable of the area! The fact we were riding these beautiful horses on this old gold mine was amazing! We could not of asked for a better day weather wise! None of us have riding experience but felt completely comfortable with Andy’s horses!!! Millie, baby, trigger and booboo were exactly what we needed - now the kids are begging for riding lessons when we get home!! Thanks so much Andy! We will be back!!

  We had a great time on our ride at Andy's north the girls that took us were very knowledgeable and very friendly ( Lilith & Ally) super sweet, absolutely amazing ride and scenery... 210% recommend...
