  My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Our guide Festus was so kind and considerate. I’m a novice and he always made sure I was comfortable and gave helpful tips. He also pointed out some amazing views. Julie gave me instructions on how to appropriately use the reins and it helped so much. My daughter is more experienced than myself and she thoroughly enjoyed herself as well.

  My daughter and I had a fantastic time! We had a very small group. And both trail guides knew how to take care of us and the horses. We had absolutely perfect weather for riding. And the scenic views on horseback were amazing. I would highly recommend this unique experience. You wouldn't regret it!

  We took a 1-1/2 hour family ride with Julie and Festus. Bottom line was that the ride was AWESOME. Had we been complete newbie riders, they would have catered our ride to a beginner rider’s experience; however, since we, particularly my wife and my daughter, had extensive saddle experience, they let loose the reins proverbially so we could actually commandeer our horses rather than have the horses ride single file, nose-to-butt. As I mentioned a few times during and after our ride, we had to work a little bit…but we had so much. Julie and Festus are knowledgeable of the area and took us on some scenic trails. Along the way there was plenty of info and stories shared between the five of us. I would highly recommend J & F and would go back again in a heartbeat in order to ride along different areas.

  Julie and Festus at J &F tails and trails are amazing. Our group had a great time! The horses are very well taken care of and make for an enjoyable ride, not your typical “nose to tail” trail ride. We had a variety of experienced levels and they took the time to find the horse best suited per rider. I rode Amigo, my very green rider friend rode Vinny, and Black jack took great care of our younger companion. Lots of history of the area along the way from Julie. Would recommend! Will come again!
