  We had the best experience today with DogGoneIt Tours! It’s run by a family and they are actual 4 time Iditarod competitors. I knew nothing about this race or really dog mushing in general before this morning. They show you their beautiful property where they live and raise their dogs. The property is immaculate - everything is beautifully maintained and the dogs are very well cared for. My girls had a blast playing with the puppies and we really enjoyed learning all about the Iditarod and everything that goes into raising and training these sweet pups. I also really love that they take a photo of your experience and gift it to you at the end. That was so sweet. I highly recommend this tour for families and really anyone who loves dogs or wants to learn more about this fascinating sport/way of life.

  This was a really enjoyable part of our Alaska trip! Caitlin picked us up at our hotel and, while on the way to their kennel/home, helped us grasp at what life in central Alaska is like. Caitlin and Mike clearly have a great passion for their dogs and sled dog racing, and really go through explaining everything from how the dogs are raised to racing in the Iditarod and everything that goes into it. Holding the puppies is pretty great too, and you get a complementary photo with the pups. A really great way to spend a morning (or evening) and learn more about sled dog racing!

  What an amazing operation Not only their inspirational story, but the work that goes into it. The property is beautiful and the kennels are top tier. One of the most memorable tours in Alaska. Caitlin has so much knowledge.

  Wow!!!! This was outstanding!! This is definitely NOT a tourist trap. This small, family owned and operated business gives us an opportunity to have a window into their passion for dog sled racing and raising and training their Alaskan Huskies. The love that they have for their dogs is obvious from the minute you arrive at the facility to your departure. We got hands on time with two batches of puppies and then got to watch videos of how the dogs are raised and trained. Then, we watched videos of what it takes to run the Iditerod and the dedication involved. Oh yeah, did I mention that Mike, the owner, has run the Iditerod four times? Go see this place! I would do this again in a heartbeat! So would my wife and granddaughter. Oh yeah, Mike her offer is still good - $100 for a puppy! 😂
