Guided 4x4 Jeep tours into Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, and the Mojave National Preserve from Las Vegas — open-cab Jeep Wranglers running custom routes through Aztec sandstone canyon, Joshua tree forest, and the petroglyph-covered walls of Atlatl Rock and Mouse's Tank. Valley of Fire's 40,000 acres of wind-carved red rock are some of the oldest exposed Jurassic dunes in the Southwest, and our guides interpret the Anasazi and Southern Paiute rock art panels, the bighorn sheep and chuckwalla lizard fauna, and the desert tortoise habitat protected across the surrounding BLM lands. Red Rock Canyon tours climb the Keystone Thrust scenic loop and stop at Calico Hills overlooks, while Mojave Preserve runs reach the Kelso Dunes and the lava-tube cave at Aiken Mine. All tours depart from the Las Vegas Strip with hotel pickup, include water, snacks, and narration on Mojave Desert ecology, and operate year-round with cooler dawn departures in midsummer heat.
