Adventure touring in Utah
Red rock in the south, granite and snow in the north, Utah packs two entirely different adventure states into one. Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Arches anchor the canyon country, while the Wasatch Range piles up peaks within sight of Salt Lake City. The calendar never really closes. Winter buries the Wasatch Front and outfitters pivot to snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and guided backcountry skiing. Meanwhile southern Utah's red rock stays mild enough to hike and climb all winter, often with the trails nearly to yourself. Whatever the month, a guided operator handles the gear, the local beta, and the safety margin, which is exactly what year-round terrain like this demands.
