Red River Gorge Climbing offers guided rock climbing, instruction, and hiking in the Red River Gorge, one of the most celebrated sport climbing destinations in the United States. The gorge sits inside Daniel Boone National Forest and contains hundreds of routes across the Pendergrass-Murray Recreational Preserve, Muir Valley, Miller Fork, and the original Red River corridor, all carved into Corbin sandstone by erosion of the Pottsville Escarpment. Guides lead beginner top-rope days at Pebble Beach and Bruise Brothers Wall, intermediate sport leads at Roadside and Drive-By Crag, and advanced multi-pitch climbs on the steeply overhung walls that made routes like Pure Imagination and Convicted famous. The combination of pocketed sandstone, natural arches, and a season that extends from October through April makes the Red a year-round climbing pilgrimage site.
